It dissolves straight into the cup at 15–20 g premix : 150–200 ml hot or cold water — no brewing, no straining and no equipment. Used for instant hot & iced tea, to-go cups and bubble-tea bases.

How do I make it?

Add 15–20 g of premix to 150–200 ml of hot or cold water and stir until fully dissolved. Serve immediately, hot or over ice. For a bubble tea, add tapioca pearls or popping boba.

What it tastes like

Bergamot is a citrus, and its oil is what makes Earl Grey smell like nothing else in the tea cabinet — perfumed, faintly bitter, closer to the peel than the juice. Here it sits on top of a strong black base rather than cutting through it, so the malt of the tea is still underneath. Because the base is instant, the bergamot arrives immediately and at full strength, instead of climbing over a three-minute steep and then fading as the cup cools.

Where it earns its place

This is the flavoured tea customers order by name, which makes it the safest one to put on a menu that only has room for a single black tea. It suits afternoon service, hotel and banquet tea stations, and office pantries where people want something that is recognisably tea rather than a fruit drink. It is also one of the very few flavoured teas that genuinely takes milk.

What to add

Add a milk mix for a London Fog–style cup, or milk and tapioca pearls for an Earl Grey milk tea, which is a reliable seller wherever bubble tea is already on the board. Our milk mixes are built to dissolve into the same cup without splitting.

Why instant, not brewed

A brewed black tea wants three to five minutes, and it punishes you for the fourth — over-extract and the tannins turn it dry and bitter, which is why the last cup of a shift so rarely tastes like the first. An instant decoction removes the variable. The tea is extracted once, under control, and dried; in the cup it dissolves in seconds and the strength is set by how much powder you use rather than how distracted the person making it was. The cup at eight in the evening is the cup you served at eight in the morning.
