Pyramid tea bag co-packing, in India.

A pyramid tea bag line, a blending floor and a tea-sourcing desk under one FSSC 22000 roof in Hyderabad — so a tea brand, a hotel group or an FMCG company can launch its own enveloped pyramid tea bags without building any of it.

What tea bag co-packing is

Co-packing means a manufacturer that already runs a tea bag line produces finished, branded tea bags for a company that does not. You own the brand, the label and the customer; we source and blend the tea, fill and seal the bags, envelope and carton them, and dispatch stock ready for your shelf, your hotel trays or your distributors.

It sits alongside two terms you will also hear. Private label means an established formulation packed under your brand; contract manufacturing means a product developed to your custom brief. We do both on the tea bag line — most projects are a mixture — and the commercial questions they raise (who owns the recipe, who approves the label, what the minimum run is) are answered plainly on our private label page.

What the line produces

  • Pyramid tea bags — the premium tetrahedral format, with room for whole leaf to unfurl. New to the format? Pyramid tea bags, explained.
  • Pillow tea bags — the flat, economical format that suits CTC and other fast-infusing blends.
  • Outer envelopes — individually enveloped bags for hotels, cafés, gifting and premium retail.
  • Single-chamber bags and tag-less options — ready for branding, for retail or foodservice.
Which format?

The bag should follow the tea: whole-leaf, green and specialty blends earn the pyramid; a strong CTC chai performs in a pillow bag at a lower cost per cup. We will tell you which — including when the cheaper format is the right answer.

The tea behind the bag

We have been sourcing and blending tea since 2011, direct from plantations in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Sri Lanka. The line packs across the range a tea brand needs: CTC and orthodox black tea, green tea, flavoured and specialty blends, and chai and masala blends — and the loose-leaf Japanese range can be finished as pyramid bags under your brand too.

The blend itself can come from either direction: a recipe you already own, reproduced to spec, or one our R&D develops to your brief — flavour, strength and price point tuned to your market, with samples to approve before anything goes to production. See the tea & coffee range for what we make under our own label today; any of it can be made under yours.

Certified, documented, export-ready

Everything runs under one roof in Hyderabad at an FSSC 22000 certified facility, with FSSAI and HALAL credentials, FDA registration, and Tea Board and Coffee Board registrations. For brands selling outside India we are APEDA-registered with export documentation support — the specifications, ingredient and allergen declarations, nutritional data and shelf life your label and your importer’s due diligence are built from. Start at export & international.

How it works

  • 1 — Share the brief. The tea, the bag format, the market it sells in, target volumes and any reference product.
  • 2 — Blend and sample. We source, blend and send samples until you sign off on the cup you will actually sell.
  • 3 — Format and label. Bag format, envelope, pack sizes and your artwork; we confirm MOQ, pricing and timelines in the quotation.
  • 4 — Produce and dispatch. Manufactured under FSSC 22000, billed GST-compliant, dispatched to you or your distributors.

What it costs, honestly

There is no one number to print. The cost per cup is decided mostly by the format — a pyramid bag with an outer envelope is a premium build, a tag-less pillow bag an economical one — and the MOQ depends on the tea, the format and whether the blend is an existing one or developed for you. Both are confirmed in the quotation after sample sign-off, and we will tell you which choices lower them. Tell us the product and we will come back with the numbers for your specific case.

What is tea bag co-packing?

A manufacturer with its own tea bag line blends, fills and packs finished tea bags under your brand and label. You own the brand and the customer; we handle sourcing, blending, bagging, enveloping and dispatch.

What tea bag formats can you produce?

Pyramid and pillow tea bags, with outer envelopes, single-chamber bags and tag-less options — ready for branding, for retail shelves, hotels and foodservice.

Which teas can you pack into pyramid tea bags?

CTC and orthodox black tea, green tea, flavoured and specialty blends, and chai and masala blends — sourced direct from plantations in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Sri Lanka. Our loose-leaf Japanese range can also be finished as pyramid bags.

What is the minimum order quantity for tea bag co-packing?

MOQ depends on the tea, the bag format and whether the blend is an existing one or developed for you. It is confirmed in the quotation after sample sign-off — share your product and we will confirm MOQ, pricing and timelines.

Can you pack a blend we already own?

Yes — we can reproduce a recipe you own to spec, or develop one to your brief. If you want us to bag tea you source yourself, say so when you enquire and we will scope that arrangement with the quotation.

Can you make tea bags for export under my brand?

Yes. We are APEDA-registered, manufacturing under FSSC 22000 with export documentation support, and tea bag co-packing is quoted for export alongside the rest of our private-label work.
