A cup of bubble tea has four parts: a flavoured base, tea, a topping and ice. This list covers each ingredient, what it does, and what to buy first, whether you are making bubble tea at home or stocking a new café counter in India.
To make bubble tea you need a flavoured base (a premix or a syrup), milk or water, a topping such as tapioca pearls or popping boba, ice, and a wide straw. Tea is optional with a 3-in-1 premix, because the tea and creaminess are already in the mix. Everything below is made at our plant in Hyderabad unless it says otherwise.
| Ingredient | What it does | Our product |
|---|---|---|
| Bubble tea premix | The flavoured, creamy base: tea, creamer and sweetness in one powder | Boba premixes, e.g. Classic Milk Tea 3-in-1, 1 kg, ₹1,599 |
| Boba syrup | A flavoured, sweet base you stir into milk or water | Boba syrups, 700 ml, ₹525 (Ube ₹649) |
| Tea concentrate | Adds a black or green tea taste to syrup drinks; optional with a premix | Black tea concentrate, 700 ml, ₹399 |
| Tapioca pearls | The chewy black “boba” at the bottom of the cup | Tapioca pearls, boil-pack 500 g ₹249, or instant pearls, pack of 20 ₹400 |
| Popping boba | Juice-filled pearls that burst; for cold fruit teas and desserts | Popping boba, 1 kg tin, ₹649 |
| Nata de coco | Chewy coconut jelly cubes, ready to use | Nata de coco, ₹649 per kg |
| Cheese foam | A salty-sweet whipped cap for milk and fruit teas | Cheese foamers |
| Milk, water and ice | The liquid and the chill | Your own |
| Cups, sealing film and wide straws | Pearls need a straw wide enough to pass through | From a packaging supplier |
